Continuing from the blade runner-esque AU, wouldnt it be ed up if ned`s invention (that was born out of love for his late wife and grief over her death) got stolen by some corporate dudebro, and turned into a business of some run-of-the-mill s*xbot company? Like imagine ned just. Running away from the city bc hes so angry seeing all these ppl walking around with the male and female versions of his late wife thats been reduced to smth so shallow. And this is where nes (dirga) comes in. He was originally one of the same b0ts created for pleasure, but then he was acquired by kiku, who lled more and more programming that turned him almost identical to humans. But dirga was actually considered "faulty" at first, bc he still rened some of the original programming that abel created in memory of his late wife (a lot of those things were things that indonesians sometimes do with their s/o, which were removed from the current line of b0ts in order to make them more "relatable" according to the company). Anyhow, abel sees dirga after his years of isolation and he`s both sad and angry bc hes reminded of the injustice being done to him, but at the same time hes also seeing a b0t that actually resembles his late wife but this one has already grown beyond his programming but loves someone else.

No haha bc going to nl was kinda a last minute decision for me (initially i wanted to go to jp 😤). I only started officially learning dutch after like…3-4 yrs here and that’s only bc at this point why not learn it gitu, imo dutch isn’t a language that you can use outside of NL-BE or perhaps the antilles so it’s…not a particularly useful language for day to day life anyway since ive noticed that ive been living here for quite some time im like “ok i guess i have to do it now”

Sometimes all I need in life is a simple 400 page-ish ranneshi romcom novel set somewhere in NL with a dash of romance clichés and almost 0 angst/heavy conflicts. Can`t think of a deeper plot yet so maybe its just about a corporate slave Abel who has lived most of his life in a boring, repetitive way until Dirga came along. Dirga`s life is probably isn`t that much different from Abel`s, they had similar jobs, (most likely an office job) incomes and both also have 2 siblings, etc. But, the way they see things and life their lives are total opposites. While Abel is the type to let everything happen, dislike changes, and is about to live his entire life to chase the one thing he thought would bring him happiness (money), Dirga is the kind who would try to find joy in every little thing in life. He`s also more relaxed, sometimes a bit too relaxed that he has the tendency to procrastinate, but that`s how he and Abel are going to complete each other! To teach and guide each other`s lives for the better! Though since there are almost no conflicts i guess the only way to make this enterning is to rely on the comedy... But anyways for now this novel would only exist in my head until a lord and savior would make this into a real thing
Ive been watching a lot HOTD and now i wanna make my own take on ranneshi in a game of thrones-esque AU (which is also an omegaverse bc i want pregnant dirga content). Ned being only 16 when he first set sail to the eastern isles and met dirga, the son of one of the oligarchs. They end up marrying at 20, and dirga ended up pregnant. But bc abel had another war to fight in his homeland, he had to leave and resolve the situation for 3 years. Dirga, meanwhile, had to play politics and keep arjuna (mal) on the throne and just basically playing as his brother`s biggest supporter. All while being pregnant and then giving birth to twins. When they meet again, abel is greeted with the sight of his 3 year old twin daughters and they all set sail for the lowlands where abel`s domain resides. Theres gonna be more political games to come for them, but they`ll be ready for it

Not a question, but on May 5th this year radio Malabar-Kootwijk will celete its 100th anniversary! (If you don`t know what the Malabar/Kootwijk radio is you can google it, it`s pretty interesting.) So Im really wondering if both sides will do something to commemorate it. Also, another interesting fact, since the Malabar radio station was burned down during the revolution, all its left now was its ruins and this big pond in the shape of an arrow in front of the building. Although it was meant to be an arrow, people mistook it as a heart shape, and so they called it "Kolam Cinta"! It is also said that the arrow is actually pointing directly towards the Netherlands. I really love this piece of history so I will celete it by posting something soon on May 5th. If anyone`s interested in celeting just use the Ranneshi tag on May 5th (or maybe we can make another hashtag) or, you could just check it out. So imagine ned and kiku just sitting with each other, and then nes offhandedly calls out "mas". Ned and kiku both answered. And then they just look at each other like 👁️👄👁️ Nes immediately rectified this by calling whoever hes trying to call by their actual name. (I also headcanon that ned is the one who knows dirga the longest besides dirga`s actual brothers, whereas kiku doesnt know much abt him despite having lived with him for a few years. So kiku`s learning still, and hes a bit :/ that ned still beats him in terms of how well he knows nes)

Theres this quote i found somewhere where it goes "dont confuse anxiety with chemistry. Real love feels like an exhale. Gentle, quiet, cern, safe. Love may feel boring if you`re used to lust, but true passion is built with consistency." That makes me think about ranneshi in the past vs ranneshi in the future. Yes, they love each other, but their relationship was built on anxiety and explosive rage from both sides. Abel would try to justify it, saying that it was true love, bc he thought that denouncing it as anything else would mean both he and dirga suffered for nothing. I like to think that in the present day and in the future, they can be ther peacefully and feel that fire they have for each other settle into the hearth of a fireplace, warming them for years to come.

Imagine ASEAN gang trying out brownies for the first time in Amsterdam. Dirga, being the one with more experience would tell them to take it slowly. But it was cold and they were hungry,, so the effects kicks in quickly after. One would yell, the other would talk non stop, one will get super sleepy, one would have a pause every 10 seconds and one would just stare at a light bulb or something. i have no one to talk so pls let me vent in here. i was talking to my dad after i apologize bc i come home 30min late and didn`t want to go to holiday/funeral w/him. it was "talking" because he the one who talks, i didn`t. he said things like because i didn`t at home yesterday (i was having fun at my niece`s house) my bros and my dad have to do the chores, and he said it like "you no doing chores so i and the bois have to do it because you`re not do it, it is your responsible". but i have a class, i am college student. i have to study from morning to noon, then i doing my chores, then i cook for dinner. i do it repeatedly every single day except sunday, it`s only my day off. then i can`t enjoy a half a day on sunday at my niece`s home because i didn`t do my chores even it is my day off??? they`re just coming home from a holiday too?? i remember he said like he want me to do my life as a normal teenager that have fun and play, BUT I GOT NOTHING!! I GETTING SCAMMED!! Ned who is a colonial soldier, met nes at the harbor when nes is doing porter work for fun. it was love at first sight for these two. then the two start to communicate more frequently and apparently became friends. ned found out that nes actually part of keraton, he was on runaway when he met him at the harbor. the two lovebirds can`t be too obvious because isn`t allowed inside keraton, touching hand accidentally would make them blush and flustered. they go to beach ther, sometimes visit the city, and relax at nes` rice field. nes sometimes helping the local to plowing the rice field and planting them. ned want to help but nes decline because it will make him full of dirt. ned`s skin is so white, nes didn`t want any dirt seen on that porcelain like skin. so ned just sit at the side and telling nes about anything that his county had, like trains and tulips. nes just listen while doing his thing, thinking maybe sometimes in the future his country would have anything that ned said to him. it will be cool. sadly, ned must go back to his country because japan come and deport all dutch soldiers. of course ned and nes still exchange letters, they`re getting more ve and start to write some `i love you` down there. ned one said that he coming back to Indonesia, if course nes so happy. nes is now the District head, rushing to go to the city to meet ned, only to found that his lover was captured and ready to be executed by young soldiers. nes can`t di anything since he`ll be seen as a traitor. all he can do is scream the word `i love you!` in dutch before he get dragged out and he hears gunshots from the building behind him.
