Yes, they love each other, but their relationship was built on anxiety and explosive rage from both sides. Abel would try to justify it, saying that it was true love, bc he thought that denouncing it as anything else would mean both he and dirga suffered for nothing. I like to think that in the present day and in the future, they can be ther peacefully and feel that fire they have for each other settle into the hearth of a fireplace, warming them for years to come.
